Billions of people surf the web daily to entertain themselves, reading blogs, watching movies, listening to music, and much more. But what they have not been able to do is play high-quality games. If you want to play professionally-made games, you either need to download and install game clients on your computer, or reach to your mobile for a more accessible experience. This has caused gaming to be divided into two camps, where casual gamers are pushed to play on mobile and PC is restricted to hardcore gamers.

By enabling professionally-made games to be played in the browser, more people are able to enjoy great games, and game studios can find brand new audiences.

Trail makes gaming easier than watching YouTube by allowing games to be played in the browser. No downloads. No installs. No paywalls. Just play. Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a motivated, collaborative, and analytical user acquisition manager/specialist who can help us bring users to the games on Trail by finding the most valuable target audiences.

You’ll be responsible for defining Trail’s UA strategy from scratch and executing it. On this quest, you’ll have to rely heavily on data and experimentation to succeed with an emphasis on experimentation in the beginning. As you go, you’ll also need to communicate your learnings to both senior management and other teams in the company, for us to be able to build a better platform.

What you could be doing (depending on the role)

  1. In close collaboration with the Product Team, take the leading part in defining the overall UA strategy for Trail’s portal to maximize its growth.
  2. Campaign management/analysis, including optimization and monitoring of campaigns, budget allocation, leading A/B tests, and identifying new channels.
  3. Owning the relationships with internal and external stakeholders (e.g.: talking with partners on how to improve campaigns and gather the latest insights, and communicating UA performance with the game and product marketing teams).
  4. Drive a culture of experimentation on all key existing channels, while also ideating and establishing new UA funnels for the game you are in charge of.

What you should have

  1. Previous working experience in mobile games or app user acquisition (ideally 2+ years)
  2. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and optimize monthly multi-million dollar acquisition budgets with clear ROI targets
  3. Advanced knowledge in Facebook or Google Ads, or other UA channels.
  4. Understanding of mobile marketing ad tech: game measurement tools, attribution providers, programmatic advertising, fraud, etc.
  5. Fluency in spreadsheet software, including Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
  6. An entrepreneurial mindset; you don’t need direction; you're self-driven.
  7. An organized way of working, not ad hoc.
  8. Interest in marketing and data-driven growth


This role can start off remotely but you’re expected to join the rest of the team in our Stockholm offices as your responsibilities grow and you become an integral part of the crew.
