Billions of people surf the web daily to entertain themselves, reading blogs, watching movies, listening to music, and much more. But what they have not been able to do is play high-quality games. If you want to play professionally-made games, you either need to download and install game clients on your computer, or reach to your mobile for a more accessible experience. This has caused gaming to be divided into two camps, where casual gamers are pushed to play on mobile and PC is restricted to hardcore gamers.

By enabling professionally-made games to be played in the browser, more people are able to enjoy great games, and game studios can find brand new audiences.

Our mission is to bring down the barriers to gaming by providing creators with tools that make their games truly accessible, easily discoverable, and virally shareable - with games just one click away from billions of potential players. 

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a commercial business developer who can help us build up Trail as a self-serve platform for game developers wanting to distribute their games on the web. And in the future transform Trail into the go-to marketplace for games.

You’ll be responsible for expanding Trail’s adoption into game industries by leveraging your own network from the past as well as building new customer relationships with strong presentation skills, experience, and understanding of Trail’s platform. You’ll be the owner of the relationship and make sure the client's projects become successful with help from internal resources.

What you’ll be doing

  1. Drive content-side growth.
  2. Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands the company’s customer base and establishes a strong presence in the gaming industry.
  3. Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships and partnerships. 
  4. Stay up-to-date on competitor products to assess competitive advantages of Trail.
  5. Identify new market opportunities, capture customers’ needs, and work together with the product team to package Trail’s product.
  6. Present sales reports and realistic forecasts of the content acquisition funnel to the management team.
  7. Own recruiting, objectives setting, coaching, and performance monitoring of future sales representatives.

What you should have

  1. 5+ years of experience in commercial roles like sales, key account management, or business development within the gaming industry.
  2. An entrepreneurial mindset; you don’t need direction; you're self-driven.
  3. An organized way of working, not ad hoc.
  4. Commercial experience within mobile gaming is a huge plus.
  5. Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
  6. Proven ability to drive the sales process from planning to closing.
  7. Mentoring and people management skills.
