We are redefining the future of gaming by bringing professionally-made games to the browser.

Why is it important?

Our belief is that gaming shouldn't be limited to gamers — anyone should be able to play games and share them with their friends.

Billions of people surf the web daily to entertain themselves, reading blogs, watching movies, listening to music and much more. But what they have not been able to do is play high quality games. If you want to play professionally-made games, you either need to download and install game clients on your computer, or reach to your mobile for a more accessible experience. This has caused gaming to be divided in two camps, where casual gamers are pushed to play on mobile and PC is restricted to hardcore gamers.

By enabling professionally-made games to be played in the browser, more people are able to enjoy great games, and game studios can find brand new audiences.

How are we different?

Trail makes gaming easier than watching YouTube by allowing games to be played in the browser. No downloads. No installs. No paywalls. Just play. The time it takes to start playing a game on Trail is less than the time it takes to finish reading this sentence. Don’t believe us? Just visit and enjoy zero-friction gaming.

Our mission is to bring down the barriers to gaming by providing creators with tools that make their games truly accessible, easily discoverable, and virally shareable - with games just one click away from billions of potential players.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a commercial business developer who can help us make Trail the go-to self-serve platform for game developers wanting to distribute their games on the web.

You’ll be responsible for expanding Trail’s adoption by leveraging your own network as well as building new customer relationships with your strong presentation skills, experience, and understanding of Trail’s platform. You’ll be the owner of the relationship and responsible for making sure the client's projects become successful.

What you’ll be doing

  1. Talk to [mobile] game studios and learn how Trail can bring value, then teach this to the rest of the team.
  2. Build a pipeline of prospective games.
  3. Build close and long-lasting relationships with customers and partners.
  4. Keep tabs on competitor products to assess the competitive advantages of Trail.
  5. Consistently look for new market opportunities, capture customers’ needs, and work together with the product team to package Trail’s products.
  6. Keep the management team updated by presenting weekly reports.

What you should have

  1. 3+ years of experience within the gaming industry. Commercial experience within mobile gaming is a huge plus.
  2. Experience in a business-related function such as marketing, sales, or product development. If acronyms such as ROAS, EBIT, and ARPPU are part of your everyday vocabulary that is a plus.
  3. An entrepreneurial mindset; you don’t need direction; you're self-driven.
  4. An organized way of working, not ad hoc.
  5. Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.

This role can start off remotely but you’re expected to join the rest of the team in our Stockholm offices as your responsibilities grow and you become an integral part of the crew.

Why join us?

At Trail, you'll join a global mission with other talented and skilled people like yourself. You'll be part of a rapidly growing startup and the development of world-class products.

We're still a small team, so you'll be able to partake in building the organization as it grows, and have the opportunity to define your own role within the company. In addition to this, you’ll also get to take part in our stock options program which aims at incentivizing ownership in both the literal and the non-literal sense.

Our journey brings us in contact with major international corporations as well as indie game studios and gamers from all over the world. This means we need people with all sorts of backgrounds, talents, and skills to be able to meet the unique challenges we face on a daily basis.

Seriously playful

We're a small crew with large ambitions and a lot of faith in our mission. We value playfulness and curiosity as much as courage and candour, and believe that the journey is at least as important as the goal.

When we're not hammering away to reach a milestone or overcome a challenge, we're known to goof around and dissect various subjects far beyond what's reasonable.

We're in this boat together and value the input of one another highly. No discipline is more important than the other and we keep a flat organization where we communicate a lot to make sure we're all rowing in the same direction.

Our guiding principles

  • Providing is more important than receiving.
  • Quality over quantity.
  • Keep it simple.
  • Make it fun.
